End grain cutting boards are easier on knives, due to the wood's ability to absorb the cutting action and rebound to it's natural state. Each board is hand rubbed with food grade mineral oil which helps repel contamination. These boards will last a lifetime with proper care. We recommend treating the board once a month with food grade mineral oil. Don't use vegetable oil, as it may turn rancid, and transfer a foul taste to your food. Never put the board in the dishwasher or leave it wet after use. Use vinegar or a diluted bleach mixture to disinfect, allow to dry and then treat with mineral oil.
